Music to My Sorrow by Mercedes Lackey. This is another exhilarating, bardic tale involving Eric, Magnus, and Ace. We are thrust into an adventure involving soul eaters, heavy mettle bands, and demon hunters. I love reading these books because of how Lackey makes music mean something more powerful. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, with the new trials the characters face. I love how I have watched Eric Banyon grow up through all the previous books, and how this book shows him in his full power. I love how Lackey makes Eric choose songs that everyone knows about, and have listened to in order to work his magic. It makes the reader feel like their world is magical. I recommend this book to anyone who loves music, and wants to have a more thrilling experience with it, any Sci-Fi readers, and all Lackey fans! This book is a part of a series and mention of the previous books is made, but you’ll still get the basic storyline if you read only this book. Personally, if you read books in a series in order, it holds a greater meaning to the reader once they finish the latest book. So pick up this book and start reading!
