Synopsis: Erin relates the events of the summer when she and her friend Heather discover the “real” Tarzan and Erin becomes increasingly aware of the family problems caused by her father’s drinking. I smiled all the way home--until I turned the corner and saw the smoke coming thick and black out of the chimney. For Erin, smoke from the chimney in June can mean only one thing: her father is at home, in front of the fireplace, surrounded by empty wine bottles. He’s been fired again.
