Synopsis: Involving a ghost and a priceless cache of treasure, this puzzling cozy mystery begins the day after Sophia Long has written to her mother at Holly Hill regarding her concerns about her husband's gambling debts. When Daisy Forrest encounters Sophia's ghost lurking just outside of Holly Hill, a historic mansion where Daisy is a docent, she is sure that the ghost is telling her something. Perhaps it has to do with the recent break-ins at the mansion or the priceless Revere silver rumored to be buried there. Daisy and her sister, Rose, pay a visit to the former owner of Holly Hill, Adele Long, to find out more about Sophia and the silver. Adele, who claims to be in contact with the ghost, is rather mysterious in her answers. Daisy and Rose go into full investigative mode and discover a system of tunnels on the grounds. During their exploration, Daisy is attacked and shoved into an elevator. Despite the local Detective's warnings, the sisters are determined to find the culprit. When the caretaker calls to say that someone has broken in to the mansion once again, she and her dog, Malcolm, rush over to Holly Hill where they end up face to face with the culprit.
