- Synopsis
- Fourteenth century BC. The pharaoh Amenhotep III rules over Egypt. Fearing a conspiracy, he decides to transfer the capital city of the empire from Memphis (Inebu-hedge) to Avaris (Hut-waret). He entrusts the construction of the Royal Palace in Avaris to his older son and heir Thutmose. The young prince finds the ruins of the legendary Behded, the Basalt Castle, the Palace of the gods, where once the sun-like Ra ruled. With the help of The Book of Gates, Thutmose comprehends the ancient secrets and sees distant past. Priests proclaim him the living incarnation of Horus, the god of light. Thutmose is on top of the world. Priests give him the Gold armour of Horus and the Ark of Power, the weapon of divine Ra with the help of which Osiris was avenged and the insidious Seth destroyed many centuries ago. The heir to the throne cannot even imagine how these sacred artefacts could change his life and affect the course of subsequent events.
