Synopsis: Idealistic LA. reporter Johnny Rose can't stop doing the right thing-a habit that's landed him at a small paper where he barely makes ends meet. Then he gets a desperate call from his niece, Sara, a runaway who suddenly wants to go home. But before Johnny can help her, Sara is killed in a suspicious fire that destroys the abandoned house she shared with other homeless teens. Why would someone murder a nameless street kid? With the help of Kate, a dedicated counselor at a runaway shelter, Johnny scours Hollywood's back streets for answers. Though he knows his instincts are sure to cost him again, Johnny sets out to uncover the truth. But this time it's not just his job that's on the line.. His life hangs in the balance, too.
