- Synopsis
- Inspired by Richard Matheson's classic "Duel," "Throttle," by Joe Hill and Stephen King, is a duel of a different kind, pitting a faceless trucker against a tribe of motorcycle outlaws in the simmering Nevada desert. For those who don't know, Joe Hill is Stephen King's son. With Throttle, he offers up (with help from his dad--how much help, I don't know) a long short story about bikers, meth, revenge, and the lonely open road ... just about my favorite things to read about. You'll get no complaints from me. Hill's style of writing is very similar to his father's, but since they collaborated on this, who knows? Doesn't matter, though. Short review for a short story. If you like any of the aforementioned elements, this is right up your alley.
