- Synopsis
- This volume contains the findings of a study the National Academy of Sciences carried out at the request of the Environmental Protection Agency to assess the health-risk-reduction benefits that would result from proposed air pollution regulations. The committee in charge of the study was made up of specialists in medicine, public health, economics, environmental science, risk assessment, epidemiology, biostatistics, and human toxicology in the US, Switzerland, and the UK. Once the methodology has been outlined the main topics are exposure and response, degree of uncertainty in EPA risk analysis, and use of health benefits analysis. Not indexed. Annotation c.
