Students applying to Oxford or Cambridge (Oxbridge) are increasingly required to take Oxbridge-specific admissions tests. These are usually aptitude tests, consisting of multiple choice questions focused on critical thinking and problem solving skills. The most widely used are the Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA) and the Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) Admissions Test. This book, written for university candidates, includes a practice test — similar to TSA — with answers and explanations, and a writing task as found in the PPE test. The book also refers to the tests for English (ELAT), History (HAT), Physics (PAT), and Mathematics.
