- This study, first published in 1985, analyses aspects of the syntax of Kāekchi, a Mayan language spoken in Guatemala. Working in the framework of Relational Grammar, the author finds evidence for the constructions of Passive, Antipassive and 2-3 Retreat and provides formulations for the principles of Personal Agreement, Number Agreement, Nominal Case, and Aspect Marking.
