K. O. is a young single woman who works at home as a medical transcriber and writes Christmas letters for those who would rather delicate that annual chore. She is outraged at Dr. Wynn Jeffries who recommends that parents of toddlers bury Santa Under the Sleigh. Her neighbor LaVonne reads fortunes in kitty litter and raisin bran and all of the men in her life are cats. Jeffries' father, Moon Puppy, is an ex hippie, a widower who employs drama and exaggeration to get attention. Adorable twin girls gone berserk with too much freedom and several innocent house pets swept along with these characters down a slapstick path to romance make for humorous, heart-warming Christmas reading.
