- Synopsis
- Emerging from a coma, David Langelier finds himself, rather incredibly, aboard a train en route to the Gaspé Peninsula at the other end of Quebec. He’s lost his memory but knows his identity because his wallet is in his pocket. He was in an accident and upon awakening from the comatose state he’d been in ever since, found himself in a room at the Hôtel-Dieu d’Amos hospital in Abitibi. One evening, he leaves the hospital in the pouring rain and gets lost in the city streets. Still very weak after long months of lying in a hospital bed, he sees a railway station and takes refuge in a Canadian National Railway boxcar, exhausted but oddly happy under the circumstances. Sheltered from the deluge, he falls into a deep slumber. This is the third volume of Yves-Patrick Beaulieu’s Abitibian saga set in the Gaspé Peninsula.
