Synopsis: Things are not always what they seem, and neither are people… Pretty Hesther Luttrell and her brother Hugo have been sent to London for the Season—a treat from Hugo&’s godfather. Studious Hesther is bent on self-improvement but it&’s not long before Hugo, becoming weary of dutiful trips to St. Paul&’s, begins to crave the excitements of dancing with the ton at Vauxhall Gardens or Almack's. Risking his sister&’s wrath, he turns for help to Theo Staveley, a fashionable stranger who has once before come to the duo&’s rescue but who is, Hugo anxiously assures the disapproving Hester, merely a gentleman—a gentleman, however, who will change both their lives.
