Shockingly, a projected 1.3 million people are at risk of dying from liver cancer by 2040, marking a 56.4% increase from 2020. HCC cases and deaths are expected to rise by over 50% in the next two decades. The book discusses HCC management in low to middle-income countries with limited healthcare budgets and resources as the cost of therapeutic options for HCC, such as liver resection, transplantation, ablative therapies, transarterial embolotherapy/radiotherapy, systemic therapy, and palliative care vary significantly and can be substantial.
