Synopsis: This book explores the experience of women whose mothers called themselves feminists - young women directly influenced by the examples and teachings of mothers working toward equality and the transformation of the home, the workplace, and the world at large. Rose L. Glickman, a feminist historian and mother, has interviewed fifty women between the ages of eighteen and thirty-five of varied ethnic backgrounds and family structures, to find out where they stand on the issues central to their mothers' feminist perspective. Their candid, thought-provoking, often surprising responses reveal the complexities behind media generalizations about the "post-feminist" generation.
