- Synopsis
- FICTION What would you do if a witch crash-landed on your doorstep Halloween night? When it happened to the Doon family, they invited her in. "I can't stand people!" cried the little leftover witch. When they offered her a soft bed, she said, "I don't like beds. I like dark places. I'll sleep in the closet." And when they called her to breakfast, Felina just sniffed. "I only eat black-bat soup and jibbers' gizzards," she told them loftily. But they liked her and wanted to help, and though Felina's Small Magic was sometimes puzzling, Mr. and Mrs. Doon and Lucinda, their daughter, who was just Felina's size, eventually worked a kind of magic of their own. As you will see.
