- Synopsis
- Tells the true story of one man's vision for what can happen when God's love gets into the inner city. Keith Phillips started sharing the gospel with children in the Watts district of Los Angeles just before the riots there startled the world in 1965. Although constantly in fear of being harassed, beaten or worse, he continued to try to reach the hundreds and thousands of boys and girls who had never heard of the love of God or the exciting news that Jesus had died to give them new life. Soon more workers came, collegians and other young people who shared Keith's convictions. World Impact, Inc. was born and reached to still other cities to help ghetto children and teenagers who have to grow up too fast, who never enjoy the luxury of a real childhood, who suffer the instability of splintered families, who know crime, violence and death as a daily way of life.
