How do Individual Members create Reading Lists?

All Bookshare members can create reading lists to organize their books into different collections. In addition, the Bookshare Collections Team curates public reading lists that members can subscribe to based on genre, author or topic.

Create a Reading List:

On the Bookshare Website

1. Log in to your Bookshare account.
2. Select the My Bookshare link.
3. Select the My Reading Lists link. 
4. Select the Create button. 
5. Enter a name for the Reading List, then select the Save button. 
6. Select the Add Books button to add books to your list.

On the Bookshare Reader Mobile App

1. Select the Reading List icon.
2. Select the Plus icon, enter a title, and select Create.
3. Use the Search feature to find books to add to the Reading List.
4. Select a title from the search results and select the Add to Reading List button.
5. Select the Reading List you wish to add that book to, then select Add to Reading List button.
6. To remove a book open the Reading List, select the Select link, select the book(s) to remove and select Remove from Reading List.

Subscribe to Public Reading Lists

On the Bookshare Website

• Log in to your Bookshare account
• Review the Explore page to find a Reading List to subscribe to
• Select the “Subscribe” button (backwards wi-fi symbol) at the top of the Reading List.
• This list will now appear on your “My Reading Lists” page, and the books will be available to you

On the Bookshare Reader Mobile App

1. Select the Reading Lists icon.
2. Select Search.
3. Select Public under the Filter by Ownership menu and enter the name of a public Reading List or word in the name.
4. Select the list you want to subscribe to and select Subscribe under Reading List Options menu.
5. Subscribed lists update automatically if the creator adds new titles. To unsubscribe, select unsubscribe under the Reading List Options menu.
