How do I change the Primary Contact on my school’s Organizational Account?

If the Primary Contact is leaving the organization, they should designate another Sponsor to serve as the Primary Contact. There are a few ways to change the Primary Contact:

If the new Primary Contact is already registered as a Sponsor on the account

The Primary Contact can select the check box next to the name of a current Sponsor and select the “Set to Primary Contact” button.

If the new Primary Contact is not yet registered as a Sponsor


Register the new Primary Contact as a Sponsor on the account. This must be done by an existing Sponsor or Primary Contact. Then, select the check box next to the name of the Sponsor and select the “Set to Primary Contact” button.

If the Primary Contact is no longer employed with the school or district

Please download our Change of Organizational Primary Contact Authorization form. On this form you will provide the new Primary Contact’s name and information. NOTE: Before we can complete the necessary changes on the account, we’ll need to verify the new Primary Contact’s employment with a supervisor or other authorized staff person who can sign and complete the requested form. Please return the completed form by email as a scanned attachment to: membership@bookshare.org
