Bookmarks and notes help you keep track of important places and ideas while reading. The bookmark feature lets you save your place in a book so you can return to it later. A note lets you add your own thoughts or comments while reading, like writing in the margin. Notes are saved near your current reading position and can be reviewed, edited, or deleted later.
Bookmarks
Add a bookmark
- Tap the Bookmark button (bookmark icon) in the bottom toolbar.
- The bookmark is saved instantly near your current reading position.
- You can add a bookmark whether audio is playing or paused.
- A bookmark icon appears in the margin at that location
- Screen readers will announce when a bookmark is added
- Audio playback continues uninterrupted
You can find a list of your bookmarks under the Book Navigation link, under the Bookmark and Notes tab. You can delete a bookmark by selecting the trashcan icon.
Notes
Add a note
- Tap the Add Note button (pencil icon) in the bottom toolbar
- Enter your note by typing or using dictation
- Select Save Note
- Audio playback pauses when adding a note
- After saving, playback does not resume automatically
- A confirmation message is announced for screen reader users
- A note icon appears in the margin where the note was added
Manage a note
Tap the note icon in the margin to:
- View the full note
- Edit the note
- Delete the note
- Go to all notes
You can find a list of your notes under the Book Navigation link, under the Bookmark and Notes tab. You can delete a note by selecting the trashcan icon.
