I'm not lying. My ebook got corrupted in chapter 2 at about 120 pages in. I HATED this book. Thought I'd love it. It's about how parents raise children who are fundamentally different than themselves. In the first long dull chapter the author gives us his societal theories and concludes that no matter what kind of difference it is, parents approach it in the same ways. In chapter two he gives a comprehensive history on everything deaf before finally giving family stories. Turns out the kids are never satisfied with how the parents handle it. There are nine more examples: autism, dwarfs, criminals, children of rape, Down's syndrome, geniuses. I couldn't do it.
