Bookshare Global

South Asian woman and man reading ebook on tablet

Is it hard to find books?

For people with blindness, dyslexia, and other reading barriers, 95% of books are not in formats they can read. They may not be able to see text, decode words, or physically hold a book or turn its pages. These barriers prevent people with disabilities from pursuing education, seeking work, and building independent livelihoods.

Bookshare® is an ebook library that makes reading easier. Members can access the world's largest collection of ebooks in easy-to-read formats and  customize their experience in ways that work for them.

Key features

  • Over 400,000 titles for school, work, and leisure
  • Ebooks in audio, braille, large font, and other formats
  • Customizable reading voices, speed, and display colors
  • Localized content with over 47 languages
  • Read on smartphones, tablets, computers, MP3 players, and assistive technology devices
