Credo che condividiamo una stessa ragione che ci porta ad avere una passione per la scrittura. Conoscere la paura in tutte le sue sfaccettature. Negli anni seguenti e durante tutta la mia vita ho analizzato tutti i lavori di Steve e sono arrivato alla conclusione, condivisa da tutti i suoi fan, che lui sia il re della letteratura horror di tipo psicologico. Stephen King è un uomo molto intelligente che conosce bene le persone e la loro interiorità. Se non fosse uno scrittore sarebbe sicuramente diventato uno psichiatra. O almeno io ne sono convinto. I suoi primi racconti sono quelli che ci colpiscono di più. Sono racconti scritti con sentimento e un alto livello di fantasia, proprio come i suoi primi libri. I miei racconti sono un tributo al re e un riconoscimento di quello che si sarebbe potuto trovare nella scatola di manoscritti andata perduta e che apparteneva a suo padre Donald Edwin King della quale non sono mai stati rivelati i contenuti. Potrebbe essere che il giovane Stevie tredicenne scelse alcune di quelle storie per riscriverle? Sicuramente no, ma forse ne restò influenzato e segnato per tutta la vita. Quando avevo tredici anni mi ritrovai tra le mani l’antologia di racconti "Night Shift" e ne rimasi chiaramente influenzato. Dopo aver letto l’intero libro, iniziai a scrivere le mie storie, restando influenzato in ogni parte dal maestro King. Immagino che questo significhi che sono il fan numero uno di Stephen King. O forse significa che sono un fanatico di Stephen King.
