The Path of Remembering
by Maureen KennedyOn a sultry August night more than twenty years ago, Maureen Kennedy was awakened by spiritual guides who directed her, a little humorously, to take dictation. This was the beginning of a more than twenty year odyssey during which she has been tutored about life as a journey on the path of remembering. These guides, whom she calls the Committee, assert that life's learning is a process of releasing fear so that we may remember who we are--beloved beings of Spirit, held in a web of eternal safety. The committee declares that the triumph of love over fear is the quintessential human lesson. Our assignment is to make love believable in the world through us. After 9/11, the Committee explores the illusion of evil as fear that judges harshly. They comfort the mother of a young equities trader who sacrificed his life by rescuing strangers at the World Trade Center. They guide their scribe through the emotional and physical challenges of dealing with illness. The Committee speaks about the evolving consciousness of our species, as we turn from limitation and struggle to creativity and joy. They remind us that our purpose is to become who we are so clearly that we shine in the world. From these teachings come the tools to claim our power, and the courage to live and love with an open heart.
The Path of Synchronicity
by Allan HunterA combination of Jungian study, literary analysis, and therapy, this guide offers a powerful vision for capitalizing on synchronicity to instill peace in the self and the world. Synchronous moments are more than pure chance, coincidence, and dumb luck; this book shows that by recognizing them as a connection to a much larger, older pattern, readers can use the myths of culture and 1,000-year-old civilizations to guide themselves out of suffering and into tranquility. Starting with a new explanation of synchronicity and then offering practical instructions and exercises to tap into this collective wisdom, the book helps readers identify the mythic patterns that guide humanity, allowing them to face inner monsters without fear, convert them into love and compassion, and relax as part of a universal harmony.

The Path to Breaking Free From Addiction
by Dada BhagwanThe word 'addiction' has become so common in this period that many people are somehow involved in this. What is addiction really, how does it happen, what is its basis and how to overcome it etc. In this book, Dadashri has shown various ways to get rid of addiction. One of the remedies is the four-step technique. A unique way, in which (1) To make a strong resolve that addiction is wrong, (2) To collect details on how it is wrong and keep in awareness, (3) Despite the decision, as often as addiction occurs again, ask for forgiveness and resolve never to repeat it again (4) Not to protect the mistake even if someone points at our mistake or insults us. After attaining Self-realization, many Mahatmas who attain their inner happiness get free from their addictions. However, for those who have ongoing addictions, Dadashri has made a distinction between addictions that are condemned by people and those that are not and have strictly warned against those addictions that begets criticism.

by Anna McKerrowA funny and profound memoir about trauma healing written by a Reiki Master, witch and tarot reader. It wasn&’t the first time she had done something a little odd to try and make sense of things. There was the time she sobbed along to Elton John with a room full of strangers. Or the very special experience of trying to enact the spirit of a deer in a school hall. She's tried Reiki, reflexology, BodyTalk, shamanic healing, past life regression, breathwork, guided visualization, dreamwork, magick ritual, (disastrous) gong baths and meditation – her journey has been long and twisting, but eventually it led to real understanding, and real healing. This book is about acknowledging our trauma, looking at what it actually is, and feeling our feelings. Interviews with practitioners and experts delve deeper into what alternative therapies offer. Ultimately, Anna hopes to trigger much-needed conversations about emotional health and the non-mainstream ways we can communicate with ourselves and others.Content warning: suicide, child illness, depression, bereavement, explicit medical detail

The Path to the Guru: The Science of Self-Realization according to the Bhagavad Gita
by Scott TeitsworthA verse-by-verse examination of the guide to self-transformation presented in the Bhagavad Gita • Reveals the scientific approach to personal development and spiritual enlightenment laid out in Krishna’s advice to Arjuna • Shows how the Gita prepares you to work with a guru, advocating authenticity and skepticism rather than blind devotion and obedience • Explores Krishna’s advice on which societal limitations to reject to overcome your fears and reconnect with the suppressed parts of your inner being Drawing on his more than 40 years of in-depth study of Indian Philosophy under the tutelage of his guru, Nitya Chaitanya Yati, author Scott Teitsworth explores the scientific approach to self-transformation and spiritual enlightenment encoded in Krishna’s advice to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita. Providing a verse-by-verse examination of the first two chapters, he reveals the Gita’s lessons to prepare the seeker to meet and successfully work with a guru--whether an outside teacher or the intuitive knowledge that arises from overcoming the psyche’s learned limitations. The author shows that the Gita does not advocate blind devotion to a guru or god but rather personal development, victory over your fears, and liberation of the psyche. He demonstrates how Krishna’s advice provides tools to guide us out of our fear-based experiences to reconnect with the suppressed parts of our inner being. He explains how Arjuna’s doubts and confusions represent the plight of every person--we are born free but gradually become bogged down by the demands of our society, continuously dependent on outside authority for answers and disconnected from our true inner nature. He reveals how Krishna’s advice offers guidance for dealing with life’s conflicts, which societal limitations to reject, and how to see through the polarizing notion of good versus evil to form a balanced state of mind superior to both. Restoring the fearless vision of the ancient rishis, who, like today’s scientists, prized skepticism as an important technique for accessing truth, Teitsworth reveals the Gita as a guide to an authentic guru-disciple relationship as well as to constructing a life of significance, freedom, and true sovereign adulthood.

The Path: What Chinese Philosophers Can Teach Us About the Good Life
by Christine Gross-Loh Michael PuettFor the first time an award-winning Harvard professor shares his wildly popular course on classical Chinese philosophy, showing you how these ancient ideas can guide you on the path to a good life today. Why is a course on ancient Chinese philosophers one of the most popular at Harvard? It’s because the course challenges all our modern assumptions about what it takes to flourish. This is why Professor Michael Puett says to his students, “The encounter with these ideas will change your life. ” As one of them told his collaborator, author Christine Gross-Loh, “You can open yourself up to possibilities you never imagined were even possible. ” These astonishing teachings emerged two thousand years ago through the work of a succession of Chinese scholars exploring how humans can improve themselves and their society. And what are these counterintuitive ideas? Good relationships come not from being sincere and authentic, but from the rituals we perform within them. Influence comes not from wielding power but from holding back. Excellence comes from what we choose to do, not our natural abilities. A good life emerges not from planning it out, but through training ourselves to respond well to small moments. Transformation comes not from looking within for a true self, but from creating conditions that produce new possibilities. In other words, The Path upends everything we are told about how to lead a good life. Above all, unlike most books on the subject, its most radical idea is that there is no path to follow in the first place—just a journey we create anew at every moment by seeing and doing things differently. Sometimes voices from the past can offer possibilities for thinking afresh about the future.

The Pathway: Follow the Road to Health and Happiness
by Laurel MellinA revolutionary program that goes to the roots of not just one common excess, but all of them, turning off our emotional appetites and offering us a pathway to better health and greater happiness. If we have not mastered two simple skills -- self-nurturing and effective limit setting -- we cannot soothe and comfort ourselves from within. So it is only natural that we soothe and comfort ourselves by overeating, drinking, spending, overworking, and smoking or by finding our way into the softer excesses--people pleasing, putting up walls, rescuing others, or thinking too much. When we master these two skills, we experience a Solution--that is, freedom from the whole range of common excesses and a life abundant in life's rewards: integration, balance, sanctuary, intimacy, vibrancy, and spirituality. The Solution was developed over the last twenty years at one of the nation's most prestigious medical schools and may be one of the world's best-kept secrets -- until now. Health magazine recognized the research on The Solution as one of the top ten medical advances of 2000. Emerging understandings of neurobiology suggest that using the skills over the long term may retrain the elusive feeling brain to spontaneously favor a life of emotional balance, relationship intimacy, spiritual connection, and freedom from excessive appetites. The Pathway shows you how to use the method and why it works, while sharing the stories of Tom, Emily, and Drew, who mastered the skills and reached their Solution. You can use this book to begin to reach your own Solution, and if you want more support, there are more than one hundred Solution Groups nationwide led by health professionals, as well as self-help Solution Circles and an active Internet community. The Solution is very simple but so powerful that many psychotherapists who use it believe it will supersede all current healing methods for one reason: it works.
