Susan is an Associate Professor of English and Director of the First-Year Writing Program at North Carolina State University. She earned a master's degree in teaching English as a Second Language and a doctoral degree in rhetoric and composition at Arizona State University. In addition to her writing program administration experience, she has also taught writing and ESL courses at a community college, in adult education programs, and abroad. She is also a coauthor of the Wadsworth Guide to Research. We are delighted to be working together and pooling our experience and expertise for this new edition.
