Experiencing the God Who IS: A Law-Abiding Citizen (Experiencing the God Who IS Ser. #4)
by Winslow E. ParkerI have no laws posted on the walls of my house for my wife to follow; nor does she for me. Love is not like that. Love does not live under written rules and regulations in human families and among friends. There are unwritten rules, of course. Etiquette, courtesy social norms, marital vows are all "rules" but they are not written. Though Emily Post and others tried to codify the rules of etiquette, no set of rules could ever possibly be set down that would cover every faux pas of social contact. There are always exceptions and unique situations for which there are no rules. It is the same in Father's house. He does not desire us to discover rules in His sacred scriptures. He wishes us to discover Him. What kind of a marriage would dictate rules to a spouse? He, our heavenly Father, does not wish us to relate to Him with rules, either. His only rule is love. All of humanity would rejoice, never fear anyone, never hurt anyone if we all lived in complete love toward one another. Love cannot be generated or coerced. It is a relationship which springs from within in response to coming to know the other. When Paul's love description is fully realized in all of us, we shall truly be in heaven. It is not that we are lawless in this new state of being. It is a higher, infinitely higher Law--the Law of Love. It demands more, but, unlike written codes, also supplies the keeping of it. May Father open our hearts into relationship with Him and tear away the blinders that keep us bound to written rules, ordinances, codes and regulations.

Experiencing the God Who IS: Grace (Experiencing the God Who IS Ser. #3)
by Winslow E. ParkerIf we had but one word in human language, it should be "grace." All life in the here and hereafter is suspended from that one word. Physical life is an act of grace. Spiritual Life is an act of grace. Eternal Life is an act of grace. When this glory explodes into awareness, we are shocked, then dazzled, then break into rapturous joy. Nothing else, no one else, no other circumstance, event, accomplishment or possession compares to that free grace given by Father.
Experiencing the God Who IS: God and Evil (Experiencing the God Who IS Ser. #2)
by Winslow E. ParkerChristianity has a problem. If God is all-powerful, why doesn't He stop evil? If God is good, why isn't His creation good? Hurled in the face of His followers for centuries, we have yet to formulate a cogent response. Many are the excuses which we have put forth without an adequate explanation. This is my attempt. Rather than dragging out the explanations hoary with age, I find that evil has purpose, a purpose which is pure and to which all will ultimately bow in gratitude at the revelation of His goodness, power, grace and wisdom. It is not that evil is good, but that it accomplishes good ends for us individually and corporately.

Good prevails. Evil quails and yields to good, having accomplished the purpose for which it was lovingly and thoughtfully created.

Experiencing the God Who IS: Momentary Glimpses; Bright Reflections (Experiencing the God Who IS Ser. #1)
by Winslow E. ParkerThese are the mystical meanderings of the author in the God who is Creator, sustainer, Lord and Friend. They are the writings, first for himself, then, later, for a number of small online groups of fellow believers. Spanning twenty years, they reflect the changes and growth in relationship as he moved from rules to experience, from Law to relationship. Quirky, thoughtful, iconoclastic by turn, each is a small window into his greatest journey. Not meant to convince or coerce, they are, rather, an invitation, a challenge and a mirror.
