IMPACT Mathematics, Course 1
by Mcgraw-Hill StaffIMPACT Mathematicsis designed for grades 6-8 with the goal of completing Algebra 1 content by the end of the 8th grade covering Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 over 3 years. This program has been extensively field tested and has proven to be highly successful in a large urban district with an increase in assessment scores for all students in all three grade levels. IMPACT Mathematicsmakes the big ideas of mathematics accessible to middle school students through an emphasis on investigation, problem solving, mathematical understanding, and algebra skills. This edition boasts an improved visual design, updated content, and additional NSF-funded performance assessments. The goal ofIMPACT Mathematicsremains to help students develop a deep understanding of mathematics with an emphasis on algebra.
Pre-Algebra
by Day Malloy Molix-Bailey Price Carter Cuevas WillardA new way of thinking about Algebra readiness! Focused, organized, and easy to follow, Glencoe Pre-Algebra shows your students how to read, write, and understand the unique language of mathematics, so they'll be prepared for every type of problem-solving and assessment situation.
Illinois Math Connects: Concepts, Skills, And Problems Solving, Course 2
by Mcgraw-Hill StaffMath Connects: Concepts, Skills, and Problem Solving was written by the authorship team with the end results in mind. They looked at the content needed to be successful in Geometry and Algebra and backmapped the development of mathematical content, concepts, and procedures to PreK to ensure a solid foundation and seamless transition from grade level to grade level. The series is organized around the new NCTM Focal Points and is designed to meet most state standards. Math Connects focuses on three key areas of vocabulary to build mathematical literacy, intervention options aligned to RtI, and a comprehensive assessment system of diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments.
Math Triumphs, Grade 8, Book 3: Data Analysis, Number and Operations, and Algebra
by Brown Basich Whitney DawsonMath Triumphsis intended for use as a pull out intervention class (RtI level 3) for students who are struggling in mathematics concepts two or more grade levels below their current grade. It is designed for use in after school, before school, summer school, intercession, tutoring, or pull-out/resource rooms. Math Triumphsis the first intervention program designed around the NCTM Focal Points. The Student Editions are 4-color, consumable Student Study Guide worktexts focusing on the foundational skills and concepts leading up to one of the three grade level Focal Points. Each chapter begins with a diagnostic assessment to identify concepts and skills that students may need to review or reinforce before introducing the new chapter.
