Der Reiz, die Potentiale, aber zugleich auch die Risiken der Hybridformate bestehen darin, dass die Grenzen zwischen dem Bereich des Fiktionalen und des Faktualen häufig unscharf bzw. überhaupt nicht markiert sind. Anhand eines breiten Spektrums semifiktionaler Erzählungen untersucht die Studie die Strukturen der Hybridformate und fragt nach ihrer Verankerung in unserer gegenwärtigen Kultur – vor allem in Zeiten digitaler Kommunikation. Welche kulturellen Funktionen übernehmen die Semifiktionen angesichts der Vielstimmigkeit der zirkulierenden Wirklichkeitsnarrative? Im Mittelpunkt der Untersuchung steht die Frage, ob das bestehende Haftungsrecht den neuartigen Risiken autonomer Systeme gerecht wird oder ob eine Anpassung erforderlich ist. Im Unterschied zu bisherigen Maschinen sind autonome Systeme in der Lage, eigenständig Ziele zu setzen und Handlungen durchzuführen. Diese Autonomie verleiht der Thematik besondere Relevanz, da vollautonome Medizinroboter entweder noch nicht existieren oder lediglich über begrenzte Autonomiestufen verfügen. In Ermangelung von Schadensfällen und gerichtlichen Präzedenzfällen ist derzeit unklar, inwieweit das geltende Recht den spezifischen Anforderungen autonomer Systeme gerecht wird. Ziel der Abhandlung ist es, das deutsche Vertrags-, Delikts- und Produkthaftungsrecht im Hinblick auf Schäden durch autonome Medizinroboter zu prüfen. Die zentrale Fragestellung lautet, wer im Schadensfall für etwaige Schäden haftet. Diese Frage wird auch im Kontext des griechischen Rechts analysiert und im Rahmen einer rechtsvergleichenden Bewertung betrachtet.
