Antes de decir algo más sobre mi libro, me gustaría decir algo sobre mí y mi proceso de pensamiento. Nacido y criado en Dehradun, siempre he compartido una estrecha afinidad con la naturaleza. Solía amar, todavía lo hago, observando la naturaleza y reflexionando sobre cómo puede ser amorosa y cruel al mismo tiempo. Crecí con mis pensamientos y tomé la vela, un trabajo que me encajaba perfectamente. Mi mente errante ahora tenía más por qué reflexionar. A menudo he estado solo en la cubierta de mi barco, sintiendo las vibraciones de un océano subiendo por debajo y viendo el cielo cambiar sus colores y su estado de ánimo sin ninguna indicación. A veces me he asustado .... Desconcertado ... hipnotizado ... de una vez. Respeto la naturaleza en todos sus aspectos ... su benevolencia ... su furia ... sus colores ... su quietud ... su brusquedad ... su imprevisibilidad ... todo! Entonces yo nos miro ... me refiero a los seres humanos ... somos los más superiores ... los más inteligentes ... el más progresivo de todos los seres vivos y sin embargo, el más miserable de todas las criaturas vivas, siempre y cuando estamos envueltos en el falso ego y la ignorancia. La naturaleza tiene sus leyes fijadas y no discrimina. Somos nosotros quienes dibujamos lo que llamamos mala suerte. Cito a Cassius de Julius Ceaser "culpa, querido Brutus no está en nuestras estrellas, sino en nosotros mismos, que somos subordinados ..." Todo lo que se requiere es una visión de nosotros mismos y la fe en la providencia divina. Aquí está el quid de mi libro "sin respuesta". Sin respuesta se trata de encontrar las respuestas que estaban profundamente ocultas en el corazón de nuestros corazones, pero no lo descubrimos a medida que estamos cubiertos de niebla de ego y deseos. Hoe meer hij toegeeft aan zijn ego, hoe verder hij van zijn goddelijke zelf komt. Zijn materialistische motieven, zijn zoektocht naar macht en grove onverschilligheid vervreemden hem en isoleerden hem. In slavernij door het ego geniet de man van valse trots, valsheid van de valsheid en valsste beveiliging. De zoektocht eindigt nooit. De dorst is nooit uitgeblust. De geest blijft pre-occupied. Het hart ziet in beroering. Koude rede betrekt wijsheid en de menselijke geboorte hunkeren naar rechtvaardiging. Toch heeft de welwillende heer een masterplan. We zijn allemaal begiftigd met zijn koninkrijk binnenin. Op het moment dat we onze reis naar binnen beginnen, begint de mist te verdwijnen. Oneindige wijsheid komt tot leven. Suas motivações materialistas, sua busca por poder e sua brutal indiferença o alienam e isolam. Escravizado pelo ego, o homem se regozija por falso orgulho, por mais falsa glória e por uma segurança mais falsa ainda. A busca é infinda. A sede não é nunca saciada. A mente se mantém pré-ocupada. O coração fervilha em turbulência. A frieza da razão obscurece a sabedoria e a gênese humana anseia por justificativas. Contudo, o benevolente Senhor possui um plano maior. Somos todos agraciados por um reino interior. A partir do momento em que iniciamos nossa jornada interior, a névoa começa a se dissipar. A sabedoria infinita desperta. Todo barulho cessa e a calmaria se infiltra. A alegria verdadeira salta do coração rumo à paz, à harmonia e ao equilíbrio. Basta apenas uma pausa e uma espiadela para dentro.

Os seus esforços concentraram-se na criação de um caminho e um destino que levassem a uma imaculada e duradoira felicidade, a um estilo de vida distinto de uma pureza divina e a uma existência baseada no livre arbítrio. Muitos empreenderam este árduo caminho e fracassaram, seja parcialmente que lastimosamente. Todavia, a pesquisa sempre conservou o seu fascínio. Acumulam-se riquezas materiais, persegue-se o sucesso e forçam-se relações para colmatar um vazio que, nesta pesquisa, não é possível preencher. Este livro procura preencher algum vazio, responder algumas destas incertezas e dar voz algumas reflexões não exprimidas; fala de um percurso que liberta e eleva. Esta colectânea não é apenas uma articulação da natureza da pesquisa, mas também dos obstáculos que se encontram no caminho que leva a perceber quem somos; é também uma tentativa para perceber a natureza incógnita, aquele enigma ilusório e fascinante que nós conhecemos como “maya”. Todos os artigos, e as poesias, deste livro são baseados na minha experiencia pessoal com a “verdade”, assim como cheguei a conhecê-la. O meu navegar no oceano da espiritualidade conduziu-me às margens da certeza, da paz e da consciência daquilo que sou hoje. Esta obra é uma humilde tentativa para explicar a natureza da minha viagem. Ficarei feliz se servirá também a outros para encontrar a “Luz”. Não sou que o teu instrumento. Ámen.

William Eggleston was born in 1939 and grew up in the Mississippi Delta town of Sumner. His innovative 1976 exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York helped establish color photography as an artistic medium and has inspired photographers and artists around the world.Edited by Ann J. Abadie, the catalog contains fifty-five Eggleston photographs, thirty-six that were featured in The Beautiful Mysterious exhibition at the University of Mississippi Museum from September 2016 to February 2017. Eggleston’s longtime friend William Ferris, a celebrated folklorist, donated all the photographs to the Museum. The photographs range from 1962 into the 1980s, representing each of Eggleston’s projects during that time. Some of the photographs are inscribed with Eggleston’s rare handwritten notes about location, people, dates, and projects. Eight of Eggleston’s early dye transfers are in the collection. Many of these works had not been on public display before this exhibition, including black-and-white images that are unique-copy single prints.This is a penetrating examination of the influence of the Mississippi Delta and the American South on Eggleston’s work and of Eggleston’s influence on photography and other creative fields.
