Poet is an image description tool designed to make images accessible that was designed by the Diagram Center. It's an open-source, web-based tool that can be used in group situations or by individuals to write descriptions that will make images accessible. We at Bookshare use Poet to create image descriptions in those books in our library with images, making them accessible for all of our members.
