How do I add a book to my Reading List?

There are now two ways to add books to a Reading List, from the general Bookshare search and from within the reading list itself. If you haven't created a Reading List already, please visit our How do I create a Reading List? page in the Help Center first. Sponsors on Organizational accounts can share Reading Lists with members.

To add books from within a Reading List:

  1. Log in to your Bookshare account.
  2. Select the My Bookshare link on the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select the My Reading List link on the left side of the page. 
  4. Select the title of the Reading List.
  5. From the bottom of the Reading List's title page, select the Add Books button.
  6. Enter the title, author, or ISBN number to search for a book.
  7. Check the box next to the book(s) you'd like to add to the list.
  8. Select the Assign Books button.

To add books through the general search: 

  1. Log in to your Bookshare account.
  2. Search for a book in the search box at the top of the page.
  3. Once you've found a book in the search results, select the Add to Reading List link next to the Download button. 
  4. Choose a Reading List from the drop-down menu, then select the Add button.
