Read:OutLoud not speaking?
If upong selecting the "Speak" button you have no audio please check a few things.
First if you see word highlighting on the screen please verify the volume is turned on your computer, and speakers are on and plugged in as necessary.
If instead the application simply freezes for a moment please:
- Select the "Speech" menu
- Select "Voice Settings"
- Choose a compatible voice from the list
- Windows 8: Microsoft David, Hazel or Zira
- Windows 7: Microsoft Anna
The Bookshare Acapela voices are not currently compatible with Windows 8.
